#8 Topic: Examining Depopulation Through a New Lens

UNDP and UNFPA have announced the challenge of “Examining Depopulation Thorugh a New Lens”, which aims to gain new insights into demographic trends in Serbia through connecting academia and IT professionals, using traditional and alternative data sources. The prize pool for innovative solutions is $ 40,000.
You will learn more about the challenge itself, but also about the importance of open data and positive examples in the world.
Module 2 - "Project preparation methodology"
The EU-funded project "Support to Participation in EU Programs", implemented by the Ministry of European Integration, organizes Module 2 training for the preparation of project proposals for EU programs with a focus on the following topics: project management cycle, stakeholder and problem analysis, project strategy definition, logical matrix, project timetable, etc.
Free preparatory workshop on the occasion of the opening of a public call within the project "Challenge for innovative solutions in bio-waste management" organized by UNDP in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and with the support of the Swedish Embassy.
The objectives of the project and the terms of the public call will be presented on this occasion, and the participants will work on developing innovative ideas in the field of bio-waste, and above all food and green waste. At the end of the acceleration phase, the best project ideas will receive financial support for project implementation in the form of project co-financing.
After a very successful previous SGA get together, we packed up a tech meetup focused on game dev themes. It will be something for people working on PC and console projects as well as for those who make mobile games. In the break from tech topics you will be able to try out one original board game, and we have prepared a refreshment for you. Meetup is part of the "Gaming Center" project.

Module 1 - "From idea to realization"
A team of experts with experience in applying and implementing EU funded projects will deliver presentations on project idea development, instructions for finding an appropriate public call for proposals, preparing project documentation and submitting applications, preparing a work plan, defining results, key activities and resources, forecasting costs and project budget preparation, as well as defining project partners and beneficiaries and lobbying.
#8 Topic: Creative Industries in Social Entrepreneurship
Within the SME Week 2019 we organize a panel discussion on the topic of Creative Industries in Social Entrepreneurship.
On this occasion, the panelists will present examples of good practice, participate in a workshop where they will be able to make concrete suggestions for problems and challenges in this area, share their past experiences and point out shortcomings and make suggestions for improvement.
BEST (Association of Students of Technology of Europe) Niš is organizing the 12th EBEC Niš, from December 20 to 22 this year. This event provides future engineers and others interested to compete with each other and be evaluated by representatives of the companies that sponsor the event and also give tasks. The competition will be conducted in two categories (Team design and Case study) with 4 teams of 4 people each.
Representatives of the Serbian and World Business Angels Association ABAS (Association of Business Angels of Serbia) and WBAF (World Business Angels Investment Forum) will present their experiences in creating an effective ecosystem for startup development. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the principles of ABAS and WBAF, ways to apply and approach BA, how to interest potential investors for their ideas, how to find new markets, and the importance of international cooperation in financing and developing startups.
Miguel Martin, High Commissions Spain Representative and Secretary General of the WBAF Global Startup Committee, and Jelena Plavanski, President, as well as WBAF's international partner for Serbia, will appear as presenters.
Gameathon is an intensive weekend workshop hosted by Exe Play and the Startap Center that allows designers, developers, stage designers and musicians to team up, collaborate and develop prototypes of video game art projects.
After introductory inspirational lectures on video game development, teams (up to 5 members) and individuals will have the opportunity to express their creativity in a 24-hour event. Each team is provided with a level playing field, one computer with appropriate video game development programs (Unity and Unreal).
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development invites representatives of the professional public, state bodies, public services, businesses and other interested participants to familiarize themselves with the text of the Draft Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2020-2025. as well as to give their suggestions, suggestions and comments.
The panel discussion on the proposed Draft AI Development Strategy will be held in the presence of the representatives of the working group for drafting the Strategy, and the text of the Draft will be posted on the web site of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development www.mpn.gov.rs and on the e-government portal.
